The Weber Family

I have been going to [Three Brothers Bakery] for over 50 years. My dad carried me in there wearing only a diaper. It was a weekly stop for us. My family came from Europe in the early 30's. They missed the European-style breads which they grew up on until they found you. We (eight kids) were raised in Houston and ate sourdough/rye and French rolls all our lives. I am 52 years old and still travel over 100 miles to your Brazwood location to treat my kids to a fresh sweet, enjoy a fresh bagel and purchase 12-15 loafs of sourdough and rye breads and bagels to put in my freezer. We will be so glad when you open the store again. We have really missed our family tradition. I can't wait to order some bread. Going to try the online ordering. Thanks for the many years of baking.

Dear Robert:

I wanted to express my gratitude for the extraordinary effort you made to get the wedding cake to the Plaza Club on June 9th in the middle of tropical storm Allison. We knew on Friday night that the storm was going to impact the wedding. We just didn't know how devastating it would be for everyone in Houston.

I am so sorry about the flooding in your home and our shop. In spite of this, you and your wife cared enough about our daughter's wedding and what we were experiencing that you went through flood waters to get the cake to the reception. It was a thrill to walk in and see that cake. You not only got the cake there, but it was delicious and beautiful as well.

Please accept our thanks and prayers for your future success.

Sincerely,

Sharon

If I were to discover that I had a terminal disease I have already devised a plan: I would rent a limousine and, en-route to the airport and the idling Gulfstream that is to wing me off to Hawaii, I would stop at Three Brothers Bakery and wipe out their supply of Iced Gingerbread Cookies, Brownies, Thumbprint Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies and those amazing Hazelnut Rings. These superlative sweets would serve as a comfort to me in my final days. Until then Three Brothers Bakery will be the sole supplier of any birthday cake I purchase. Three Brother's baked goods are truly the best in the city!

As a world leader in telecommunications technology, our vendor-partners may perceive our corporation as somewhat demanding. Impeccable service, image, and attention to detail are all high on our priority list. Whether it is meeting with a few executives or a conference with hundreds of attendees, Three Brothers consistently exceeds our expectations by their creativity, guidance, and expediency. We have requested, what one would think, are extremely customized sheet cakes and cookies, with logos and graphics. The bakers at Three Brothers are extraordinary. Our guests are always so impressed! Small things, like fine baked goods, truly make an impact with our clientele and are just one more way we differentiate ourselves. We will continue to patronize Three Brothers — our customers will accept nothing less!

I remember the cookies being in the command area for Red Cross. When all felt like it was completely overwhelming you would go for one of those very whimsical and fun cookies. I can recall the smiles from many volunteers when they came in from a hard shift and leaving with one of the cookies. The Starbucks coffee and the Three Brothers Bakery cookies kept me in a positive frame of mind when I was going full force at 3 am in the morning (at that time of day two cookies were often consumed).

To Three Brothers, I would like to say thank you. When you were working 16 plus hour days, things like those cookies kept us sane and well.

The gingerbread men you donated to the Red Cross were wonderful. It was a very hectic and emotional time so the ginger helped our nervous tummies and the "touch of home" helped us feel appreciated. On behalf of all the Red Cross staff and volunteers I shared these great cookies with, thanks a million.

Dear Janice: I just wanted to give you compliments on your beautiful cake that I had at my graduation luncheon. It was every bit as pretty as the picture you had sent, and it tasted great too. I do appreciate your wonderful suggestion of the yellow cake with fudge frosting with all the awesome decorations.I think you have gained new fans for your bakery in the process. Thanks so much,

Coming from the New York area, one of the first things I missed in San Antonio was good bread. I used to buy what I thought was called "Corn" bread from a bakery in New Jersey. I always asked them why it was called "Corn" bread as there was no corn in it. They could never give me the answer. Then I met Robert from Three Brothers Bakery who explained that "Korn" is German and has come to mean rye. Much more important was that he actually made Korn bread at Three Brothers. I immediately ordered 3 whole loaves, custom made with seeds of course! They shipped overnight, and now whenever I miss home, I know I can take care of this craving with an order at Three Brothers Bakery!

A lot of employee and volunteers took on task and positions that where unfamiliar during our Hurricane Katrina relief effort; I was one of them. I was tasked with feeding 200+ people three meals a day for three weeks before Rita hit, and I was sent to Dallas. I had to do it all including meal planning, shopping, solicitation, etc... Companies like Three Brothers Bakery made my job so much easier. I cannot begin to express how much having breakfast taken care of on several occasions took so much pressure off me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You were a God send. Out of all of the companies I dealt with you were one of the most kind and generous of them all.

Subject: Fantastic Cake

We purchased a cake for a large birthday party that was honoring two different people. The birthdays were within the same week so combined the two and served over 35 people. The cake was not only beautiful in appearance but delicious and moist as well. It was prepared on time and had no problems whatsoever. We will come back to Three Brothers for all our baking needs. Thanks so much.

My first visit to Three Brothers Bakery was a memorable one. After tasting and then eating an entire chocolate croissant, I realized it was the best I'd had since eating one in Paris a few years back! My family and I have since moved out-of-state, and I still dream about those chocolate croissants and other goodies I tried in Houston. I'm looking forward to having them shipped to me.

Plenty of fond memories—I used to go in as a little kid every Friday with my mom or dad to pick up that night's challah. It was a recurring moment of my childhood....

"I gave up baking my own challah when we moved to Houston in 1983 and found the kind we like at Three Brothers...well baked with a good crust. We keep several in the freezer, defrost and warm in oven as needed."

I wanted to do something for my customers during the holiday season that was more personal, and more fun, than a card, yet still conveyed a professional image for our company. Three Brother's Bakery designed ginger bread houses with our holiday greeting and company logo on the roof. They were beautifully made, very whimsical, and still sent a professional message out to our customers. Three Brother's delivered the houses and made sure they were set up properly. My customers enjoyed the fanciful buildings, and I got the credit for a great idea. Thanks Three Brothers.

I was introduced to Three Brothers Bakery at my office about 10 years ago and was spoiled with brownies, cookies, petit fours, and my personal favorite, the yellow cake with fudge filling. If I was having a bad day, this cake could turn things around. It would be sitting out in the conference room, and I would keep sneaking back in for another piece. I could not concentrate on my work until I knew it was gone. So if you get a cake from Three Brothers Bakery, be prepared to work some overtime!

The flower basket cake was a major hit with my mother-in-law and the rest of the family. Everyone was so impressed with it. We almost hated eating it because it was so pretty. However, we did eat it and really enjoyed it. Thank you for making my mother-in-law's 76th birthday so special.

Most importantly, I am very grateful to you for hearing me out and creating a cake that was simply "Edible Art." You have proven to me that Three Brothers Bakery on South Braeswood is the best bakery in Houston for beautiful cakes!

Sincerely yours,

When I think of a bakery, I think of my favorite bakery growing up in Northern New Jersey, so I have to tell you that the Chocolate Babka at Three Brothers Bakery, is as good as if not better, than the best babkas we could get in New York or New Jersey. It is so yummy. Since it is my weakness, I am glad that other people like it too, so that when I get one it quickly disappears.

Abe's Bar Mitzvah, when he was 83 years old, was a glorious event made extra special by the attention and products of the Juckers of Three Brothers Bakery. The cake with the Torah scrolls was magnificent. Our Hebrew teacher, extraordinaire, who has taken hundreds of children and adults through a Bar/Bat Mitzvah service, recommended Three Brothers for this delicious cake. It looked spectacular and was delicious.

We had forgotten to order a challah and were getting ready to use bagels for the "motzi" when Bobby Jucker dashed intot he huge dining area at Emery Weiner School bearing a big, beautiful challah! It was a magic moment we will never forget!

I love going to Three Brothers because they have quality cakes and pastries. Their homemade gingerbread is the best. My children love it. Three Brothers has also made birthday cakes and corporate special events cakes for me. They are creative and strive to please their customers. They're the best!

Your people did an outstanding job in decorating the cake — it really was a great job, and done on such short notice. The logo and colors were perfect, and I even liked the dates on the bottom edge! And, you are absolutely right about the cake choice of yellow with fudge filling — perfect! Thanks for pushing me in that direction when I did not know what I wanted. I kept going back to get "just a little more", and you are ultimately responsible for the extra pounds that I am now carrying around. You were also right in that everyone else loved the combination — it was a great taste. Your bakery has the reputation for tasteful and tasty product, and it has proven true, once again.

Janice, I really appreciate your working with me in getting it done. I should not have waited until the last minute, but you came through. Your service and suggestions were so helpful to me, but the fact that you were willing to get it done quickly made me realize just how important "customer service" really is from the other side of the fence. We stress that with our company, and now I have seen it from the other side. It was a good lesson for me.

We bought a dozen roses, and surprised my mother with the roses and cake late in the afternoon. She was so pleased. I took several pictures of the cake alone, and then with my mother and the family members that were here. When I get them back, I will be sure to share them with you.
