We’ve been baking the giant Pumpecapple Piecake for many years, but recently the 24-pound, 11-inch tall confection has been making national news. No doubt, if you like Three Brothers Bakery on Facebook you have seen some of the wonderful coverage the piecake has received, but here are some of the highlights from the past month!
ABC 13
This little story is what sparked much of the coverage this month. The wonderful Patricia Lopez chatted with Bobby about how the Pumpecapple is made. We start with our apple pie baked into a spice cake, our award-winning pecan pie baked in a chocolate cake and a pumpkin pie baked in another spice cake, then layer and cover in icing, caramel and nuts. Saturday Night Live
The folks at Saturday Night Live sure have a way of making us laugh and we were so excited to see our Pumpecapple Piecake on the show! The SNL Weekend Update crew poked fun at the piecake calling it a “diet cake.” With 2,000 calories a slice, we can tell you, that diet won’t work!
CNN Headline News
The Pumpecapple Piecake then went on to be featured on Headline News Express. The lovely Lynn Berry had a slice and could not believe how delicious the monstrous creation was. Watch the entire video here: HLN.
Good Morning America
This one is the biggie. We had our giant Pumpecapple Piecake featured on Good Morning America! Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer and Amy Robach all got to try our delicious confection and they loved it.
