The High Holidays are right around the corner and we know many of you will be celebrating with your families and enjoying delicious raisin challah and traditional apples and honey.  Rosh Hashanah is a very exciting time for us at Three Brothers Bakery, as we have so many fond memories.

For instance, Janice’s mother used to have an open house for 150 people and that would happen after having had dinner for 25 and lunch for about 30 people.  Oy, it was work, but the family pulled together and made it happen.

The holiday for Janice was so important that no matter where she lived and no matter what was going on with her life or work, she made it back to San Antonio for Rosh Hashana.  She never missed one.  These are some of her fondest memories.

But we know not everyone can make it home for the High Holidays.  Many college kids who go to school away from home can’t make it back. So, we thought, why not send a little bit of the holidays, and the sweet memories that accompany them, to them?

This year, show school spirit on Facebook for your chance to win a holiday care package from Three Brothers Bakery! Parents tell us where your child attends college in the comments section of this Facebook post, or students, tell us where you’re going to school and why you should be our “taste of home away from home” winner. One lucky commenter will win a High Holiday care package from your favorite hometown bakery, Three Brothers Bakery!

We would love to hear about your favorite Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur memories.  Share them with us on Facebook and tell us your kids’ college or the college you’re currently attending to enter our contest!

L’shana tova!
