It’s time to say farewell to 2012 and ring in the New Year. We can’t say goodbye to this year, however, without thanking you all for helping to make 2012 such a wonderful year. As you know it was a year of expansion.  We turned a corner and feel completely recovered after Hurricane Ike now and want to thank you, our loyal customers, for this wonderful time in our history.

As you all know, New Years isn’t just a time for champagne and countdowns; it’s an opportunity for a fresh start. It’s a chance to be introspective, to think about our lives and how we could better ourselves. I, for one, already have my 2013 planner. I love how clean its pages are, that there are no creases in the cover, and the promise for organization and newness that it holds. The New Year is much like a new planner – full of opportunity to “do good” and to “be better.” Of course, I’m not alone in thinking this way, which is why about 45% of Americans usually make a New Years resolution. So what tops the charts? What do we resolve to change and do differently with our fresh slate?

Lofty goals, indeed. Imagine if we all kept our New Years resolutions – what an utterly happy, healthy, productive world this would be, right? Unfortunately, the newness wears off over time.

I think the most important thing we can do is to remember our motivations. We have to remind ourselves why we chose the resolutions we did for 2013 so that we don’t loose sight of their importance. We have to make plans to see our goals through, and perhaps most importantly, we can’t beat ourselves up if we make a mistake. 🙂 Here’s to hoping that we all beat the odds and keep our resolutions all year long! And here is to a very, very happy  and healthy New Year. Cheers!
