My fondest memories of Halloween all involve getting lots of candy – and unfortunately, my worst Halloween memory also involves candy. Even before it was common practice, my mom inspected all my candy before I could eat it. Sure enough, the year I dressed as Cinderella, she found used needles in my basketbag, and this was the 1960s! Parents, don’t feel guilty about looking through what your children get this year.
