Wow, what a year! Does anyone else feel like it was just January? Incredible how time flies. For this last blog of 2019, we thought we’d share some highlights from this past year!
January
Mardi Gras season started off with a bang last year! In 2020, Mardi Gras falls on February 25th–don’t forget to order ahead!
February
Do you remember seeing our “National Weatherperson’s Day” cake on KPRC? We brought the hardworking newscasters not only a sheet cake, but three of our delicious King Cakes.
March
March is always a fun time! We celebrated Pi Day in 2019 with a Pi Day discount off our pies online and in-store!
April
Janice went up to Washington D.C. to assist in judging SBA and Visa’s Small Business Week Hackathon!
May
May was a big month for us because we celebrated our 70th Anniversary of business! WOW! Thank you to all of our customers and staff that have made our 70th year the sweetest yet!
June
We attended the Houston Pride Parade this year, handing out coupons and cookies! We had a great time!
July

September
For National Bakery Day (Sept. 27), we celebrated with blast-from-the-past prices! We set sold all of our regular cookies for $0.70!
October
We were so surprised to be featured on the Wall Street Journal’s October “Lists” Issue! We were named among “6 Not-Boring Riffs on Pumpkin Pie”!
October was also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, our owner, Janice Jucker, celebrated thirteen years cancer-free and was proud to be a top 10 fundraiser for Susan G. Komen Houston!
November
We were honored to be featured on The Cooking Channel’s Thanksgiving Grubdown! We had so much fun filming this special segment! Did you miss it? Watch it here!
Bobby also got the chance to be a judge on KPRC’s Holiday Special! Houston Life hosts Derrick and Courtney were tasked with making a creative gingerbread creation! Watch the feature here!

Our Pumpecapple made some big headlines this year! ABC’s Localish stopped by for a segment, and we so enjoyed showing them around the bakery!

It was the season for pies in Houston! We shipped out 1,600 pies in one week, and 2,000 in another in the lead-up to Christmas! Thank you to all that ordered from us this year!
It was a huge surprise to us when we were told we won Chase Rapid Rewards Credit Card contest, sponsored by Southwest Airlines! We wrote up a business plan on a napkin, and we were shocked to learn we were one of two winners! What a year!
We think 2020 will be our best year yet, and we hope it’s yours as well. Come see us in January–Mardi Gras season starts January 6th! Until then, a very, very Happy New Year from us at Three Brothers Bakery!
