During tough times it is easy to get bogged down in “the bad,” but Janice always says you get only one pity party. Last week we had a few good things happen that we would like to share with you.Sunday, June 28th, the Houston Chronicle came out with the winners of the BEST OF THE BEST 2020.
You made us a winner in the bakery category!!! We were voted by you as BEST BAKERY 2020 in the Houston Chronicle Best of the Best Awards!!! We loved getting this accolade because people could only vote one time, which is so much better than contests where friends and family can vote 10 times a day – you know what we mean. This award for Best Bakery was such a wonderful gift. Thank you to all our loyal patrons!!!
Two days later Janice found out she was selected by the Houston Business Journal as one of Houston’s 2020 Most Admired CEOs. She is humbled to be in the group with so many others that she admires, including our neighbor Linda Burger, CEO of Jewish Family Service which created our beloved Celebration Company.
Last and certainly not least – we are giving a big THANK YOU and SHOUT OUT to Senator Ted Cruz who introduced the LIFT UP act on the Senate floor. This legislation will help small businesses with SBA disaster loans taken January 1, 2015-December 31, 2019.
