Happy National Bakery Day Houston!  Okay, so maybe it’s not the biggest holiday of the year.   But while we do have this time, you bet Three Brothers can make the most of it.  In just a few days, we will be selling our deluxe cookies for just $1 each!  We love participating in Bakery Day because we love celebrating the independent retailers and small businesses which keep our local economy and community going.  From job creation to currency circulation to food donation, we are honored to be a part of the Houston economic ecosystem.  And, frankly, let’s face it.  It feels so quaint and fun to shop at a family-owned bakery instead of getting your bread and desserts from just another supermarket chain.  To be treated like a person rather than just another ticket is what truly sets small businesses apart.

See below for some of the options we will have available for National Bakery Day on 09/30/2022 at all locations.

National Bakery Day is, of course, just as much about the community a bakery serves as it is the bakery itself.  After all, without our loyal patrons, Three Brothers would not have survived four floods, a fire, COVID, and honestly, the simple test of time.  We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has been with us on this 73 year journey, and eagerly await all the new faces who have yet to stop by!  So what can we do to give back to such a wonderful community?Well, to start, we take our example from the actions of our owners, Bobby and Janice, who provide their own labor and time as volunteers to the community.  From hamentashen-making classes at Celebration Company to chaperoning assisted living senior proms, their community-focused attitudes and kindness toward others sets the standard for behavior and attitude across the company.  As such, Three Brothers is involved in donation programs to provide food to pantries and individuals across Houston.  Every night, our employees package the day’s bread and rolls, as well as any imperfect products, for donation.  We do most of our work with the Emergency Aid Coalition as well as independent volunteers like Jay Hamburger.

We are proud to be a part of this initiative to help others and reduce food waste in the US.
