Our way of life has definitely changed over the last couple of months due to COVID-19. We have dealt with disaster multiple times over the years–Bobby and Janice are the “King and Queen of Disaster”, a title they would never wish on anyone. Because of our experience with disaster zones, we have a few tips for those going through hardship.

  • Order online for takeout, delivery, or shipping! Small businesses thrive when customers support them–did you know that 44% of the American economy is small business? With this kind of number, when disaster strikes, small business takes a big hit. We’ve been in business for 70 years in Houston–and we’re fighting to survive.
  • If you have a steady income, move up your holiday gift-giving now. As a retail bakery, our main source of revenue is through holidays, and we make the most of our money in the last quarter of the year. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hanukkah are a long ways off. Why not buy a pie now to show your employees you care, or treat a family member to a nice surprise since you can’t visit in person?
  • If you’re a small business, disaster can be overwhelming. Janice has tips here.

We will make it through this together. We encourage you that if you’re able to support small business, please do! They need your help now more than ever. Read more about the domino effect of shopping with us here: Buy 1 Pie, Employ A Village
