This week, we’re putting 2017 in the past and looking forward to a great 2018 at Three Brothers Bakery. I think it’s always helpful to set resolutions and stick to them – I’m glad that this year I can resolve to keep weight off rather than to lose it in the first place!

Three Brothers Bakery Coffee Beans

Last year on the blog, I said I wanted to continue to grow the coffee program, and we have. Over the summer, we introduced Frappes, Lemonade Sodas and Iced Teas with house made syrups for bakery visitors beat the summer heat, and we look forward to the next innovations and additions in this growing part of our bakery.

Three Brothers Bakery Passing a Bill
Bobby and I with Rep. Jim Murphy, Kirk Michaelis from El Bolillo Bakery and Heather O’Connor from Quacks Bakery

After a great experience in 2017 ushering a bill into law to make commonsense tax reform for bakeries, I hope to continue my involvement in public affairs by working to pass more bills at the state level.

2017 can’t be talked about without mentioning Hurricane Harvey. As I said on the blog earlier this month, we are so grateful to our loyal guests and team members for their continued support.  I always say out of something bad comes something good.  Well I am hoping to find out in 2018 the good that comes of our experience with Hurricane Harvey.  I know we’ll figure it out.

Cheers to 2018.

Have a happy, healthy and (for those who flooded) uneventful New Year!
